Lorsa 8F
Description
The french caliber Lorsa 8F is a common movement for ladies' watches, made in France and probably from the 1970s.
It is constructed in the familiar tonnau shape with 6 3/4 x 8 lignes and was available wiht different types of shock protections (known are at least Antichoc S65 and Novodiac).

Construction-wise, the Lorsa 8F is similar to compareable french calibers, and also here, all important bearings, including the minute wheel bearings, contain rubies. To reach the number of 17 jewels, the minute wheel bearings allow the lack of cap jewels for the escape wheel bearings.

We have the typical gear train for these kind of movements: The mainspring barrel drives the center minute wheel, followed by third wheel, seconds wheel and large, filigree escape wheel.

For space-saving reasons, the dial-side bearings of third- and seconds wheel are located about the escape wheel.
The bearings of the three wheels also form an almost equilateral triangle.

As noted above, the three-leg anular balance is beared in different types of shock protections. It beats with 21600 A/h and can be adjusted at the hairspring key only.

On the dial side, you can easily spot the large escape wheel and also the yoke keyless works.
