Orient 46943

Description

This movement was made in at least two completely different variants with the same caliber number.
The version described here is a twin (except the size) of the Seiko 4206 with quarter-sector rotor, excenter changer as selfwinding mechanism and the lack of a manual winding capability. Another interesting fact is, that the date is corrected with the crown, but the seldom wrong weekday can very easily be corrected by a button at “2”.

The probably more recent version of the 46943, which is decribed in the german Chronos 1/1997 watch magazine, reminds pretty much of the Citizen/Miyota 8203.
